The "Main Inn" was originally a private Victorian residence built by English stonemasons in the mid 1870's. William C. Mahaffy, a land surveyor, purchased the property some 10 years later. Many distinguishing features of the old structure have been preserved including the century old fireplace in the Parlor and the carved wooden bannister in the main entrance. The foundation walls of the main inn are over three feet thick.
	The Inn is "ghostly", home to numerous ghosts, three of whom are affectionately know as Charlie, Sarah and Bob - friendly spirits that keep mostly to themselves. Bob "haunts" the kitchen area, Charlie the upstairs corridors, and Sarah the "Carriage Room". Today, the Inn comprises of the Mahaffy residence and 6 homes, which were acquired over the years and are housed on an entire cul du sac.
The Inn at the Falls offers 42 tastefully appointed rooms and suites varying in size from cozy comfort to large and luxurious. Many feature fireplaces, jacuzzis, balconies and verandahs. All of our accommodations provide coffee service, hairdryers, dual-port phones and messaging. All guest rooms and suites are air-conditioned except where noted. For the safety of our guests, Inn at the Falls is designated non-smoking.

During the summer months, relaxing on the Patio at the Fox & Hounds Pub is a must. Beautiful English gardens overlook beautiful Bracebridge Bay. Large old maples sway in the breeze, and a multitude of flowers scent the air, providing the perfect setting for a most enjoyable dining experience.
